Rajesh Vasudevan on”Being a principal – the challenges I faced and some new ideas”

Mr. Rajesh Vasudevan – Head of School, Manchester International School, Coimbatore

Mr. Rajesh Vasudevan is both a teacher and a performer. He teaches English literature and has also been a ToK facilitator. He is a trained classical dancer and has used dance beyond the stage to connect the students with the aesthetics of life. Over the last two years, he has been part of a great team that focuses on designing, implementing and assessing 21st-century skills for students and teachers.

Mr. Rajesh feels that children should be involved in performing arts at an early stage to be equipped with all the necessary skills to navigate through life. He says drama and the performing arts provide children an opportunity to build on their cognitive skills.
